Public waitlist: button not responding on 24 October

On 2026-10-24, the operator and Claude each checked Block’s page in Chrome on macOS: the “Join the waitlist” button did not respond, and no public waitlist form was found. Our read of the page HTML on the same date found the buttons marked hidden and the message “Launch links are coming soon.” This is a dated observation, not a prediction of when access opens.

AI safety research access

The page invites a small group of AI safety researchers to apply. Its application requests a name and institutional email, with a Google Scholar or blog link optional. The publisher decides access. This is distinct from our release-update subscription.

What the publisher has said

In replies dated 24 October 2026, Jack wrote “MacBook Pro M4 Max or better” about hardware and “speech to speech. no llm” about the model. These are publisher statements, not our benchmarks. Hardware reply ↗ · Model reply ↗

Before installing anything

A release announcement is not a model download. We have not verified a public app installer, API documentation, weights package or license from the page checked on 2026-10-24. Do not assume a package using the name is distributed by Block. Follow links from the publisher when a release becomes available.

Avoid misleading access offers

We have not established any connection between Block and the $DESSA meme coin or third-party “invitation code” pages. A matching name does not establish affiliation or access rights. Start at block.xyz/dessa and follow links from that page. Do not pay a third party for a claim of access based only on the name.

Stay informed

Our tracker separates research, waitlist, app, API and weights. Each has its own status and source so a change in one does not imply that everything is available. No release date or access price is asserted here. In the limited public-post sample reported by our research bot on 2026-10-24, no independently verified user claim of access was found; this does not prove that nobody has access.
