How can I try Dessa?
As of 2026-10-24, the public “Join the waitlist” button did not respond in Chrome on macOS, as checked by the operator and Claude. The page HTML marks the buttons hidden and contains “Launch links are coming soon.” The available early-access application is for AI safety researchers. Our email form sends our updates; it does not enroll you with Block.
Are the weights or API available?
The checked release page does not provide a public weights package, API documentation or model license. Availability is unconfirmed. A demo or waitlist is not permission to distribute or host a model.
Can my Mac run Dessa?
Block says it runs locally on a MacBook Pro M4 Max or better. It has not published a minimum memory requirement or a supported-chip matrix on the release page checked here. The checker labels uncertainty instead of converting that statement into a guarantee.
Does Dessa use an LLM?
Jack described it as “speech to speech. no llm” in his 24 October 2026 reply, linked in the sources below. This is his description; we have not independently inspected an unreleased architecture.
How much does it cost?
No public Dessa price was found on the checked release page. Price, access dates and hosting costs remain unknown. The price choices in our forms are research questions about future tools, not a price for Dessa.
Does Local Voice Dock run Dessa?
No. Dessa integration is planned and depends on a public release and suitable license. The working prototype uses Whisper for speech-to-text. It is not a full-duplex conversation model.
Are invitation codes or the $DESSA coin connected to Block?
We have not established such a connection. Use block.xyz/dessa and its linked application. A matching name, token or third-party invite listing is not evidence of access or affiliation.
Where can I hear the demos?
Follow the recordings on Block’s release page. Audio remains hosted by its publisher; this site does not copy or host the recordings.
